GB26373 Ethanol disinfectant bactericidal effect test
With the outbreak of the new coronavirus, the global demand for disinfectants has increased rapidly. Among them, ethanol disinfectants have become the leading products in the market due to their safe and efficient characteristics. Due to the effectiveness of the product, the ethanol disinfectants produced by enterprises must comply with the requirements of GB 26373 .
According to the GB 26373 standard, the ethanol content of ethanol disinfectants is 70%~80% (volume fraction).
GB 26373 requirements for ethanol disinfectant raw materials:
1. The ethanol used in the formula should comply with the requirements for " ethanol " in the "Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China" ( Part 2 ) (2010 edition ) ;
Those using edible ethanol as raw material should comply with the requirements of GB 10343 .
2. The production water should be deionized water.
3. Other components in the formula should comply with relevant national standards and regulations ( including purity, specifications, etc. ) .
4.Disinfectants used for hand and skin disinfection must not use industrial grade raw materials.
GB 26373 Indicator requirements for ethanol disinfectants to kill microorganisms:
According to the requirements of the product instructions, dilute to the dosage specified in the instructions, and conduct the test according to the quantitative sterilization test method in the "Technical Specifications for Disinfection" (2002 edition) of the Ministry of Health. The bactericidal effect should meet the requirements in the table below.
Representative bacterial ( virus ) strains | effective concentration | Action time ( min ) | log kill value |
health Hand disinfection | surgical Hand disinfection | skin disinfect | object table Surface disinfection | vector method | suspension method |
E. coli | Original solution | ≤1 | ≤3 | -- | ≤3 | ≥3.00 | ≥5.00 |
Staphylococcus aureus | Original solution | ≤1 | ≤3 | ≤3 | ≤3 | ≥3.00 | ≥5.00 |
Pseudomonas aeruginosa | Original solution | -- | -- | ≤3 | -- | ≥3.00 | ≥5.00 |
Candida albicans | Original solution | ≤1 | ≤3 | ≤3 | -- | ≥3.00 | ≥4.00 |
GB 26373 Instructions for the use of ethanol disinfectants:
1. For hygienic hand disinfection, spray the disinfectant evenly on the hands or apply it to the hands 1 to 2 times for 1 minute ; for surgical hand disinfection, wipe 2 times for 3 minutes .
2. For skin disinfection, spray the disinfectant evenly on the skin surface or apply it to the skin surface twice for 3 minutes .
3. To disinfect the surface of the object, spray the disinfectant evenly on the surface of the object to keep it moist or wipe the surface of the object twice for 3 minutes .
4. To disinfect the thermometer, completely soak the thermometer in disinfectant for 30 minutes .
