EU food grade testing 1935/2004/EC
In 2005, the European Union issued a directive on food contact substances 1935/2004/EC. Full name: Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 of THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 27 October 2004 -on materials and articles intended to come into contact with food and repealing Directives 80/590/EEC and 89/109/EEC.
1935/2004/EC is a regulation on materials and electrical appliances that come into direct or indirect contact with food. It has been enforced since October 27, 2006.
1935/2004/EC stipulates the introduction of mandatory labeling. Materials and electrical appliances that have direct or indirect contact with food should follow the following instructions:
- Or indicate the words "can come into contact with food"
- Or follow the instructions for use of the appliance, such as: coffee machine, electric kettle, etc.
- Or according to the symbol description specified in 1935/2004/EC 1935/2004/EC & EC No.1935 2004
